Israeli Ambassador visit to the Rock

As part of Israel’s 70th Independence Day celebrations held on the Rock, Gibrael Chamber has hosted the Israeli Ambassador to the UK- Mr Mark Regev- who arrived on an official, first visit to Gibraltar.

Ambassador Regev’s and his wife Vered’s short visit (less than 24 hours) included a cocktail with the Jewish and local community, a personal meeting with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar, a private dinner with the Governor, the Minister of Housing and Gender Equality and other senior officials. A trip to the magical nature reserve that included an intimate encounter with the macaque monkeys:), lunch with business leaders, a personal meeting with the Israeli community and for dessert, interviews with magazines, the local newspaper, television and radio … and a flight back home … happy but tired … Who said it is easy to be an ambassador? 🙂

Mark spoke so well at every opportunity, highlighting the strengths of the Israeli economy. We had the pleasure of hosting him here and we are already working for further cooperation in the near future.
